The latest Corvette, even though it comes with a touch screen version of the piece of shit navigation unit certainly has one feature distinguishing it from the previous generation.
No, it is not the INFOTAINMENT name chosen for this truly embarrassing POS proudly residing in the dashboard of the Stingray, it is the fact that the newest piece of junk skipped on very basic feature as a CD player or God forbid, a DVD player. The absence of DVD player is understandable, the 20 fps screen refresh rate certainly takes video playing out of the equation but gheez, no basic CD player anymore? Is +General Motors really getting so cheap?
Certainly, this cannot be another pathetic attempt by the idiot in charge, +Tadge Juechter to claim some kind of weight savings or is it? Maybe like with that lightweight frame, Juechter is claiming now lightweight infotainment technology? Come on Tadge, your stupidity wears super thin already, just like your credibility.
Nevertheless, Juechter, Charles and few other geniuses responsible for this botched stab at revamping Corvette typically claim that this is a car that reflects the status of current technology that supposedly renders CD obsolete. LOL at this bullshit but nevertheless, this is all nice EXCEPT... the USB device is limited to 64 GB which is a joke these days AND software operating the USB input on the newest Corvette is a true POS that works the same way as the LT1 engine works, for a while, until it blows up.
So what happens when USB input dies, with corrupted driver rendering it totally worthless? For those who drive it rarely, it is back to the good old FM radio since satellite radio makes no sense to them.
And here is the biggest irony and stupidity of Juechter, his team and GM marketing: high definition FM radio is no longer a feature available on the C7 Corvette, thus, back to the standard FM,
Once again, the stupidity and ignorance of GM and Juechter's team shine as expected.
