As Malibu and Cruze and Volt come to market, you'll be able to see a subtle link between some of the form vocabulary for all of them and Corvette," Welburn told Automotive News last week.
According to Ed Welburn who apparently is as delusional as +Tadge Juechter , +General Motors considers the latest Corvette a stylistic trendsetter, and along the lines of prized race horses, will be extracting its "DNA" to crossbreed with other GM's finest.
Seriously, Ed Welburn must be seriously fucked in the head and few other preferred locations to be serious about it? And yes, this includes the tail lights, the same tail lights that seem to have Camaro "DNA". Lots of genetic research and crossbreeding at GM obviously, making Gregor Mendel proud?
Nevertheless, Welburn should be congratulated on his self indoctrination, spreading these stylistic cues throughout the GM line up should do wonders for Corvette's exclusivity.
The perspective of car rental lots flooded with Malibu, Cruze and others, sporting fangs, Camaro tail lights, vented hoods and of course three levels of trunk mounted barn doors is right down entertaining, no matter how nauseating it may be.
On the bright side, maybe aero equipped Cruze can finally complete the Nurburgring lap?
Considering the midget sized supercharger, this one should be a great fit on Cruze and Malibu as well.
Ironically enough, Corvette is already cross bred - with GM pick up trucks and SUV's (including engines, new slush box and all great fuel saving technological break throughs). Time to return the favor by Corvette and bless all other GM cars with this great Corvette gene pool.
And Ed, have your head examined soon, maybe together with Tadge?
