Real life 2015 Corvette C7 Z06 vs. General Motors claims on the drag strip-WTF?

Surely, there has to be something truly wrong with the driver of the 2015 C7 Z06 who dared to compare the +General Motors marketing ET figures to their real life realization, right?  Of course +Tadge Juechter  would not be lying about those few performance figures GM released?  This 11.8@120 is a FAAAR CRY from the GM published 10.95@127 (for still not available slush box version).

Now, new Viper stock goes about 11.2 and it has less power and manual transmission.  If this is the sign of things to come, the new flagship goes beyond a joke.  If indeed there is such a gap between the manual version and the automatic, this is truly the end of the road for the Corvette.  Even with an experienced driver, this car should be hitting low 11's at minimum 125.  Funny how the technological triumph turns into a full failure in the second week of car's release.

Interestingly enough, a while ago, Redline Motors modified 2014 Stingray WITH MANUAL TRANSMISSION, managed a pretty impressive 10.5 seconds in its quarter mile run.  Surely, there is a problem with Z06 and with GM being very tight lipped, it will take a few of these track and drag strip disasters to dig to the bottom of this pile.

The pressure on the automatic version of this porker is mounting daily.  If the slush box porker fails to deliver, this will be the end of the newest flagship.
