Orange peel alive and thriving-this time on 2015 Corvette C7 Z06 "flagship"

One thing for which  +General Motors Bowling Green Corvette Assembly Plant UAW crew deserves a big credit is CONSISTENCY.  If the concept of unionized automotive communism was to be defined, certainly the seventh generation of Corvette production could be used as a text book example of such.

This consistency, the same shitty and worse than the rattle can finish "quality" sees no difference between the cheapest base Stingray and the most expensive so called "flagship" Z06.  The buyer can load it up to the max, easily exceeding the six figure price tag and the same shitty appliance styled textured finish will be there.

The Z06 shown in these pictures demonstrates it very well, the quarter panels look like they received a nice coat of anti chip protective layer typically found on the lower edges of pick up trucks (and some cars), with the difference of being everywhere on the car, in the case of the flagship.  Maybe this is what GM is doing?  Secretly applying the anti chip coating beneath the paint?  Hmmm... Nah, this is just the same old incompetence that is so characteristic of the GM quality.

The funny part here is that the orange peel is so bad that it is visible even under the cheesy vinyl stripes that apparently fancy the taste of the buyer.  In fact, the vinyl stripe further accentuates the orange peel beneath it.

To make it clear (pun intended), this is a brand new 2015 Z06, no excuses for the first year growing pains.  Seeing this uniformity in truly shitty paint on any of the C7's could certainly make Fidel Castro proud.  Certainly, great explanation why UAW members received those INCREASED bonuses this year.
