As the 2015 production year comes to an end for the newest generation of +General Motors so called "sports car" Chevrolet Corvette, apparently there is no slowing down to all the problems plaguing the AARP approved sports car substitute and of course, these problems include the ever popular orange peel paint finish.
In this case, the "flagship" of the Corvette line up wears the ever popular black paint finish and as expected, proudly discloses the truly shitty paint quality, giving the overweight turd a feel of a piece of appliance purchased at Home Depot not due to its obscene weight and bulky appearance but mainly due to that textured finish that reflects the light like the top of the line refrigerator (except for the paint runs and contaminants that are missing from refrigerators as a rule (unlike the newest Corvette). To GM's credit, the truly aweful PAINTED SILVER (gray?) trim fails to create enough visual nausea to diminish the orange (more like avocado or grapefruit) effect, LOL.

Yes peely and thin, the sad thing is GM knows how to properly paint a car, but as long as they can sell the car with the orange peel than why take the extra time an effort to produce a good job. After all it is not a Lexus.
ReplyDeleteTadge and crew counted on the poor eyesight of the C7's aging demographic to overlook this issue. They never planned on anyone else taking a closer look at the car. It's all part of their, "Unexpected Consequences" development approach.
