Corvette C7 Stingray chassis rigidity and removable roof creeking noises

The creaking noises coming from latching points of the removable roof were an infamous trademark of the Corvette C6.  When untreated, the problem could be right down annoying due to the latches being located very close, right next to the occupants of the car ears.  Although the other source of roof related noises, the delamination of the roof from its base was eventually resolved through a roof replacement recall, the other source of the creeking noises remained with the car until the very last C6 produced.

The problem was acknowledged by +General Motors and in addition to offering so called "fix" that consisted of lubricating the living crap out of the latches and mounting bases on the roof and surrounding roof seals, the design of the roof latches was changed in 2008 to allegedly remediate the creaking noise problem.

As expected, none of the GM measures worked and the creaking persisted.  Although there were some effective shade tree fixes (rigging mounting points with O-rings and locking clips, the problem never really went away.

So... since +Tadge Juechter made a point reminding everyone day in and day out how much more rigid the new aluminum chassis was and how much effort was put into designing all parts on the car new and improved, there is no doubt that the buyers ignored this small but really annoying issue, leaving it in the past along with the "obsolete" Corvette C6.

Well, guess what?  In spite of Juechters assurances, the creaking noises are still there, on the brand new Stingray and the latches look the same as the "obsolete" ones.  Are the roof creaks a plausible explanation why Juechter never released the actual "superior" rigidity of the new frame?  Certainly seems this way.  Surely, if the new chassis was indeed 50 or 65 percent (the story keeps changing) more rigid, there is no way on this Earth that the creaking noises would be still there.

Thus, like with performance figures for the Stingray that failed to be disclosed, this seems to be another case of Juechter being full of shit and lying through his teeth.

Come on Tadge, time to fess up and come clean regarding the Stingray, the evidence continues to contradict your statements fully across the board-seems like the time is ripe to show at least a trace of honesty and integrity instead of lying to the customers.
