Dealers serving Big MAC with Corvette C7 Stingray to anticipated buyers

No, not talking about +McDonald's  artery clogging invention but rather MARKET ADJUSTMENT CHARGE, formerly known as dealer mark up.

Does this still happen with +General Motors dealers?  Yes, it does, especially in states like Florida and California.  Why do dealers do this?  The answer is: BECAUSE THEY CAN.  Free market economy works this way, the cost is dictated by supply vs. demand aspect and willingness of the buyers to pay up.

Since I have personally inspected this particular car sitting at my local dealership, I know for the fact that this car is a real piece of shit regarding fit, finish and paint quality.

This car is truly awful, not just outside but inside as well.  This particular car has worst orange peel, fish eyes, drips and under paint sanding marks, plus misaligned panels, uneven panel gaps, uneven door gaps, sagging roof seals, wrinkled lower dashboard vinyl (no, full leather interior does not include the lower portion of the dash where glove box is).

To top it off, the dealer did not even bother to detail the car before displaying it for sale, all edge areas on the car are full of scuff marks and fine scratches, no doubt a product of the ingenious transport cover and subsequent but very incompetent cover removal process by minimum wage paid dealer employees.

The most interesting part of this car is the window sticker.  In addition to the regular manufacturer window sticker, there is another one, seen in the picture to the right of the window sticker.  This dealer added strip of paper includes the selling price: $82,500 and lists the dealer added mark up (Market Adjustment Charge) at $7500!!!

Last time this dealer had the new Corvette for sale, in the beginning of this year, the mark up was $5000 and the car sat for two months before being finally sold and this was before GM decided to hike the price in March.  Apparently, this particular dealer decided to hike its mark up as well, LOL.

Will there be a buyer dumb enough to accept extra depreciation (this is how mark up works)  demanded by the dealer for a car of such despicable quality?  Considering this dealer also sells Cadillacs, the chance of finding a buyer senile and at least partially blind is certainly there.  Hopefully the buyers will not die off before signing on the dotted line though, LOL.
