Disclosed "facts" about Corvette C7 Z06 continue NOT TO ADD UP - is Tadge Juechter really so full of shit?

+Tadge Juechter continues his campaign of fiction replacing facts while talking about the upcoming so called C7 Z06.  This guy has attested on multiple occasions that the new Z06 will put the last ZR1 to shame.  However...

Given the identical displacement of the old LS9 and the new LT4 (I think the new supercharged motor has received this designation?), when supercharged, the new motor falls short by 13 hp.

Since the new Corvette engines used technologies such as direct injection and variable valve timing that are typically associated with engine efficiency improvements that lead to increase in horsepower and considering that with these new technologies, the horsepower still falls short, what is exactly the point of increasing mechanical complexity and decreasing reliability when the new product produces results that are inferior to the predecessor?

Here is the kicker:  according to +General Motors own advertisements, the intercooling on the new Z06 is TWO PERCENT MORE EFFICIENT  than the system used on Z1.  Since better intercooling always results in horsepower increase, what this means is that the new engine is not just 13 hp short of LT9, the actual difference is the 13 hp PLUS the gains from better intercooler system.  Doubling that 13 hp would be a very conservative estimate of how much less horsepower the new Z06 can manage to produce.

So... either Juechter and GM are lying about improvements in intercooling aspect of new Z06 engine or... the new technologies failed to deliver on promises.  Either way, this is no win situation that hopefully can me remedied by hiding more performance figures and misrepresenting one or two that will happen to look good.

As it is, the only performance figures that may come close to the previous ZR1 are 0-60 with AUTOMATIC transmission and ET with AUTOMATIC once again, as long as there are no multiple runs at the track causing the new 8 speed slush box and electronic LSD to boil over due to small torque converter and increased stall speed.

Considering the increased weight of the new Z06, braking distance compatible to ZR1 will be possible only with optional ceramic brakes and perhaps an AIR BRAKE?  LOL
