The pitfalls of buying a USED Corvette C7 Stingray

The buyers of the new Corvette have one thing in common (no, it is not about their age or weight): they tend to spend a lot of time waxing their cars and are very particular regarding any damage to their cars.

The single most scary thing to the majority of the first owners is the possibility of bringing their cars to a +General Motors dealer for warranty repairs.

Unless there is a major problem with the car, resulting in a breakdown, they grow more and more hesitant to allow the dealer to even touch their cars.

Thus, there may be another problem for the future buyers of these cars, sold as used: a large number of issues with the cars not addressed by the first owner, including minor recalls.

In the best case scenario, the future buyers of these cars will have the pleasure of visiting GM dealers, assuming the cars are still under factory warranty and dealing with the dealer related nightmares the first owners decided to avoid.  In the worst case scenario, with warranty expired, the second hand buyers will be paying from their pockets to have these issues address.

Certainly something to be considered when shopping for a used car...
