Tadge Juechter and General Motors "forget" to follow up on the defective Corvette C7 Stingray oil filter? FILTERGATE?

Poor +Tadge Juechter must be suffering from a severe case of amnesia.  Just a little while ago, the +General Motors forensic team determined that faulty oil filters caused LT1 turd self destruction in TWO of the Car and Driver test vehicles (one used for lightning lap and the other for long term test).

Now, the probability of Car and Driver getting the only two cars out of over 37k produced and both with defective oil filter are exactly how high?    Maybe there were only two defective oil filters altogether?  LOL

Considering that having an entire engine blow up on the account of a two dollar filter is typically not a good business, especially on a brand new car, one would think there would be a very extensive investigation by Tadge himself, cutting filters open and showing the defect to the press while pulling all Corvettes off the street and replacing the filters ASAP.

Surprisingly, all is quiet and while LT1 engines continue to self destruct, there is no mentioning of oil filters anymore.

So what happened?   Could Tadge and his experts lie?  Nah, this would never happen...

Tadge, there better be a follow up to this never heard of before explanation, there is no doubt that both automotive press and Stingray buyers are anxiously waiting for the follow up.  Or is this like that Nurburgring  or top speed thing?

No worries Tadge, this blog will refresh your memory periodically.
