Among the majority of high performance car buyers, waxers and bench racers prevail and this is not any different with the newest Z06. However, even though rarely anyone needs or can use this performance, there is a process of validation of the car, having the car record some impressive figures makes for a great point of interest among other "enthusiasts", a badge of honor of sorts and so called bragging rights. In other words, the stereotype of compensating for undersized or already spent manhood at its finest.
And here is the newest Z06, already recognized for its inability to deliver on the +General Motors marketing claims and assurances from +Tadge Juechter that the newest Z06 is the end to all Corvettes, a pinnacle of GM high performance achievements. To put it mildly, the new Z06 already became a laughing stock among both automotive press and circles of high performance enthusiasts.
Admitting to undersized manhood is not the easiest thing to do and it becomes even more difficult when the car cannot be validated in real life. The fastest Corvette is not the fastest, it is not even the quickest and even if there was any performance potential in this porker, between its obscene weight, cumbersome nannies and warranty driven self protective operating software, there is really nothing in there to entice others to admire this car.
Needless to say, there are already many potential buyers turned off by this engineering and marketing disaster, looking somewhere to find more credible bragging rights. So what happens to those that already bought this turd? This is what happens, LOL.
